This article walks you through how to receive a job, create an eTicket, capture customer signatures, and complete your work using Visual Dispatch on a mobile device.
Step 1: Open Your Job from the SMS Notification
When Dispatch assigns you a job, you’ll receive a text message (SMS) with your job details.
- Tap the link in the message.
- The link opens Visual Dispatch log in screen on your mobile browser.
Step 2: Accept the Job
To acknowledge the job and notify Dispatch:
- Log in to Visual Dispatch Mobile.
- Select My Jobs from the menu on the top left (the three lines). Note: Some users are taken directly to the My Jobs page after logging in.
- Tap Click to View in My Jobs section.
Step 3: Review Job Details
Before arriving on site, you can review job information in advance.
- From the home screen, press on the available Job to open it.
- Select Details.
- Review location, customer information, scope, and other job details.
- Review Resources and Attachments (if any).
This helps you prepare before filling out the eTicket.
Step 4: Create the eTicket on Site
Once you arrive at the job site:
- Select + eTicket to begin.
Step 5: Add Notes and Attachments (Optional)
You can add supporting information to the eTicket:
- Photos
- Files
- Links
Important:
The Notes field becomes available after the eTicket has been created.
Step 6: Review the eTicket with the Customer
To review the eTicket with the customer:
- Important: If pop-ups are blocked on your device, update your browser settings to allow pop-ups.
- Tap the Show icon
at the bottom of the page to open the eTicket.
- Review the scope of work and terms together before capturing signatures.
- To go back to the main screen, you must select the back < button at the bottom left of your mobile browser.
Step 7: Capture the Begin Work Signature
- Tap the icon at the bottom of the page to open the Begin Signature screen.
- Have the customer sign directly on your device.
- The customer must check I Agree.
- Tap Accept to continue.
Step 8: Update Resource Time
Before capturing the end signature, all resource times must be updated.
- Open the Resources section.
- Tap a resource to edit hours — you can update a single resource or select multiple resources to apply the same hours to all selected resources all at once.
- Review or modify start, stop, and break times.
- Tap Complete & Save.
- Repeat for each resource listed if you are editing them separately.
Step 9: Capture the End Signature
Review the final times with the customer before collecting the End Signature.
- Use the Show button to return to the eTicket.
- Use the mobile browser’s Back button to return to the signature screen.
- Select one of the following options:
End Signature Options
- Sign (Blue): Customer signs on site
- Send an E‑Link (Green): Email the customer a signature request
- Process Internally (Green): Update Dispatch if no signature is captured
