What is a Kit?
A Kit is a grouping function that lives inside of a Quote or Package. They are used to group together resources, labor, and items that are typically are used on a job together. For example, if a 200 Ton Crane is sent out with a specific Rigger and Spreader Bar every time it is used, all three of the entities can be grouped together in a kit.
Kits can be pre-saved, but only as part of a package. If a Kit is created in a new Quote, then it will have to be built from scratch. If a Kit is saved within a Package, then it can be re-used as needed.
Kits can also have their own pricing that is separate from the sum of the total amount billed from its grouped entities. This will be explained further later.

The price of a Kit can be locked in at a Flat Rate. If this option is selected, no matter what the sum of the components add up to, the Kit price will not change. The system will show a "PLUG" item on a Kit when this function is used. The "PLUG" item will display if the Flat Price of the Kit exceeds the sum of the components, or if the Flat Kit price falls below the sum of the components.
Example 1:
Screenshot shows a surplus derived from the Flat Price Total being greater than the sum of the components
Example 2:
