Billable hours represent the time or resources that can be charged to a customer during a rental or service engagement. This feature ensures accurate invoicing for equipment and labor used on a project.
How It Works:
- When scheduling resources in the desktop application, you can decide whether to charge customers for specific items.
- In the Resource window, simply check the Billable box for:
- Equipment: For machinery or tools rented out.
- Labor: For operators or staff assigned to the job.
This flexibility allows businesses to:
- Include or exclude costs based on contractual agreements.
- Maintain transparency in billing.
- Optimize profitability by ensuring all chargeable resources are accounted for.
Example from the System: In the screenshot, the resource setup shows:
- A 100 Ton All Terrain Crane marked as billable.
- An operator assigned, with an option to mark labor as billable.
By using these settings, companies can streamline invoicing and avoid missed charges, ensuring accurate financial tracking for every job.
