What are Rentals?
Rentals are essentially another way of looking at Jobs in Visual Dispatch. Rentals show the exact same information a Job from the Daily View or the Equipment Chart does.
The main advantage of using the Rentals page is to better track Jobs that haven't been Invoiced yet. Below are instructions on how to add the Invoice # to this List View:
From the Homepage of Visual Dispatch:
Click List -> Rentals
This page shows the list of Rentals/Jobs for the date range that is set at the top of the page:
As mentioned before, this list will display all jobs within that given date range, including multi-day jobs. Jobs that run over a period of time will display as separate line items. This gives a particularly helpful insight into what jobs have not been invoiced.
If the invoice column isn't visible, add it as a new column by right-clicking the grey column headers, then click the Insert Column drop-down selection. From there, click Invoice # number to add it to the Column list:
Now that the Invoice # has been added, those that handle Invoices can now easily view all Jobs that haven't been Invoiced yet.
